Joe Smith was very professional and also very kind in how he handled our concerns. I hope that Ashley Furniture knows what a gem they have in his being General Manager of the store.

We had a nice visit here but did not make a purchase. I was a little annoyed with the sales staff because they insisted on giving us their sales pitch before letting us browse. I don't like pushy salespeople.
Went in looking for a bed. Didnt know when you're willing to pay thousands of dollars for a bed that it wouldn't be delivered for free? Our salesperson Katie was great. She listened to our needs and effectively found us a bed that was perfect. Just too overpriced and would've taken to long to deliver.
3 months later which is 90 days later, we purchased $790 and made 3 $160 payments and our balance is still $720. Something looks wrong.... I contacted the person from the dept and apparently we are RENTING our mattress and the payments are for RENT! a nominal amount is going towards the principle. We look at our paperwork and NO WHERE does it state the word RENT! The person on the phone said they were suppose to explain it in detail which the dumb, lazy broad who signed us up didn't and the sales person obviously wasn't looking out for us which is sad especially since we purchased from her before. I WILL NEVER TRUST THIS STORE AGAIN. They just want to make a sale anyway they can. I feel super mislead. The customer service is awful and they are not genuine people. I've worked in customer service and would never in my life not explain what service I'm offering without honesty.
So, back to the store we went, hoping to get things resolved. Joe Smith did more than just resolve things. He went out of his way to help us. By the end of the day, we had the main furniture piece, along with some extras that he gave us an exceptional deal on, safely in our home. The remaining smaller items were delivered in a timely manner as well.
Joe Smith, General Manager, at the Arden store is a tremendous asset to Ashley Furniture.
Most of this furniture is for people who are obese. No style. Lot of cardboard and foam. Great financing however. But then. What's to lose?
Over a week later . . . we were in an empty apartment, with only the floor to sit on. . . and still no delivery. At this point we were told that it would be at least a couple weeks more, and that the items would be coming at separate times. We were frustrated to say the least.

I say do not trust this store unless you want to feel used. I've purchase from another Ashleys before in Florida and I have never felt taken advantage of before. We were in the market for a couch and a mattress. We moved from Florida (where our furniture got destroyed from the hurricane) so we needed to purchase just the essentials a mattress and a couch. We purchased our couch and needed some financial assistance with the mattress but didn't want to get our credit ran (we were planning on buying a home). Let me add that I have a $6000 credit line with a company affiliated with Ashelys but since this is owned by a private owner I would have to run my credit again. So they gave us the same as cash option. I guess the sales associate, name begins with a K, wanted a sale especially since it was a holiday weekend sent us over to another dept for the same as cash option. The person seemed flustered and out of this world but since we have been shopping around we just made the decision to purchase.
We had selected several furniture items, scheduled delivery on a certain date, and arranged our plans around being available to accept delivery. Well, things did not go as planned - there were a number of mix-ups and delays apparently stemming from the warehouse end of things.
